Trycicle Rabbit,
They did not take thimerosal out of vaccines completely! Please check with your local pharmacist for more information. I discovered this a year ago when I asked the pharmacist at the Children's Hospital in my state. They came back with a list of companies that sold vaccines with and without the thimersol preservative. It seems all doctors recite that line (mercury was removed from vaccines in 2000) but it REALLY depends on what vaccine company pediatricians purchase their vaccines from. Also, drug companies still use thimersol to preserve medications given to children. PLEASE do your research on this topic!!!! Check this website:
I have done my research and I suggest you do yours. I will trust my own pediatrician and doctors rather then what I find on websites with little sources or credibility or what random people on the internet say. (By the by, was the sheet the pharmacist dated? Do you know if it was out of date? Did you check?)
The only vaccine that still contains Thimerisol is the flu vaccine. I suggest you read through the website that posted this article and gather your information from doctors who work in the field and back their stats up with sources.
